Each year the Heavy Metal Truants ride is responsible for uniting people from the heavy music industry across the globe; the movement is a fundraiser supporting children’s charities, and 2017 marks the fifth year of this massive event—officially dubbed HMT V – Revenge Of The Fifth.

Chris Maric—owner of Maric Media—will be participating in Heavy Metal Truants again, after the awesome experience he had last year. He is returning to the UK, this time with Carl Neumann—owner of Heavy Magazine. They’ll be undertaking an epic 275km bicycle ride from London to Castle Donington and The Download Festival, between the 7th of June and the 9th with the Heavy Metal Truants, in the name of several children’s charities.

Nordoff Robbins and Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline have signed up for the gruelling challenge, along with: heavy music agents, managers, promoters, publicists, record labels, media organisations, and artists alike, plus members of the public.

Each rider has pledged to raise the minimum £1300. Chris and Carl have a fundraising page set up and their combined target for the campaign is £2600—approximately $4400AUD. You can help the guys reach their goal by donating here.

The Journey
Day 1: London to Luton 83km
Day 2: Luton to Leicester 140km
Day 3: Leicester to Donington 50km

You can follow Chris on his journey via his: personal Facebook page, the Maric Media Facebook page, Twitter and Instagram.
