Not only is the box filled with the latest in everything fashion related—it also strives for change by donating 10 per cent of all proceeds to stopping human trafficking. Not much can beat an ethically conscious fashion subscription! We spoke to the women behind Shifuku—Melinda and Christie—to find out the answers to all of the important questions.
TEO: If you were stranded on a deserted island, which Shifuku box items would you want with you?
Christie: This is a hard one! Definitely our Finch Swimwear bikini featured in our October box. And the Turkish Murkish towel from the very first Shifuku box would be a perfect fit too!
If Shifuku was a song, what would it be?
SAFIA—‘Listen to Soul, Listen to Blues’. It has the right kinda groove to it and brings out nothing but good vibes! Plus, we used to belt it out anytime it came on when we lived out bush for nursing.
If it was an emoji, what would it be?
Definitely the smiley face!
If it was a type of drink, what would it be?
A Mojito—it’s fresh, delicious, and always a little bit different every time you drink it.

New York. Anything is possible in our boxes.

Who is the Shifuku customer?
The Shifuku babe is a 20–45 year old fashion conscious female who is a professional, or working towards becoming one in their field. They enjoy keeping themselves fit, eating organically, and are conscious about the footprint they are leaving on this planet. Our Shifuku girls know when to let their hair down. They scroll through their Instagrams, morning and night. Most of all, they are hungry for fresh designers in their life.
