TEO was lucky enough to welcome the largest Lush store in Australia at the Adelaide media launch last Friday. We were treated to delicious cocktails, organic smoothies, bubble machines and, of course, the chance to test out old favourites and limited edition products. The aromatherapy of each creation may have caused the overwhelming sense of excitement, but we’re guessing it was mostly the amazing new space.
The struggle of entering through the already overflowing crowd in Lush, Rundle Mall is no longer an issue with the new store doubling in size. Lush embraces all things sustainable and the instore furnishings are no exception, using reclaimed wood from the scaffolding of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The store is spread over two levels with luscious amounts of space for the well-loved bath bombs, organic skincare products and demonstrations. There is even room for the first ever Australian Lush events space, allowing for instore talks and exciting experiences.
Guests explored the space and tested the limited edition ranges created especially for the launch. We were given the opportunity to bring home our favourite treats and were certainly spoilt for choice! The Lush ladies and gents were super friendly and extremely knowledgeable in finding the perfect fit for each skin type. We were left sparkling and refreshed after testing as many products as physically possible!
A pop-up cocktail bar provided refreshments inspired by the fragrant products. The ‘Bubbly’ cocktail was an overall winner with hints of citrus and mandarin. Those looking to burn some calories could blend their own organic smoothie at the Bike ‘n’ Blend station; the blender bikes are pedal powered and allow for a vigorous workout and an instant smoothie.
Each Australian product is invented, sourced, and created by the great Lush minds in the Sydney kitchen. Lush creates all natural, eco-friendly, handmade products while focusing on high ethical standards. This includes: sustainability, fighting against animal testing, and supporting multiple charities and ethical campaigns.
Lush aims to leave a positive mark on the world by reducing landfill through reusable containers and using naked packaging. There are even charitable products with all proceeds supporting communities around the world.
The new Lush store is located right across from the old space, still in the Myer Centre. Take the time to get lost in a sensual world of organic creations while making the world a better place.
