Melbourne prog-rockers, Sentia recently gave fans a taste of their upcoming EP with their first offering, ‘Hydroflow’. The five-piece has crafted a track that feels otherworldly, using wet guitars, hypnotics percussion and reversed vocals, progressing to a passionate explosion of noise about three quarters into the song.

‘Hydroflow’ was written in Hong Kong and portrays themes of insecurity, vulnerability and forbidden desire amidst the breakdown of a relationship, all while being enchanted by an unknown land.

“‘Hydroflow’ came about from one of our many jams, one of those loose ideas that begin as a blur but eventually start to make sense. We knew this would be a song that was a little more delicate,” says self-taught drummer, Chris.

If this teaser is anything to go by then the band’s debut EP, Origins will not disappoint! Origins will be available online as of tomorrow, Friday the 12th of August and physically at their launch show, which will be held at the Evelyn Hotel, Melbourne.

Sentia will also be bringing their unique, ambient prog-rock sound to Habitat HQ on Monday 22nd of August, as well as Music Man in Bendigo on Friday 9th of September and The Worldsend Hotel in Adelaide on Saturday 17th of September.
